Performance Coaching for Managers
Learn how to create a "Coaching Culture" in your
workplace!
Managing the performance of employees is critical to being an
effective leader. However, often managers and leaders do not have
the necessary interpersonal tools or skills to coach employees to
improve or enhance performance. Often this "conversation" is left
for the annual formal performance review process and unfortunately
for some employees this is the first time they receive feedback
about their performance. Performance conversations are too
important to be having only at review time.
Key Topics Covered:
- Understanding the importance of performance coaching as a
manager
- Differentiate between the types of performance coaching
conversations you can have
- Structuring effective performance coaching sessions using the
GROW model
- Understand the coaching methodology, process and tools
- Coach direct reports on how to motivate and manage their own
work performance
- Practice the coaching conversations
- Create an action plan for your next performance
