Having Performance Reviews - Giving & Receiving Feedback
Performance review conversations can be a very daunting
task for Managers. Our training teaches managers how to conduct
effective performance reviews and conduct career development
conversations by giving meaningful feedback. This workshop will be
delivered by Senior Psychologist, Kelly Maniatis who will provide
you with the tools, skills and confidence to conduct an effective
performance reviews with your staff.
Key topics covered:
- How to plan and prepare for the performance review
- Setting expectations - employee preparation for the review
- Learn skills to improve the performance review conversation,
i.e. active listening, questioning and providing clear and specific
feedback
- Learn how to invite feedback from employees and handle feedback
appropriately
- Review performance objectives so you can provide specific
feedback describing the gap between expected and actual
performance
- Define areas for development and set clear performance
expectations and objectives
- Avoid common pitfalls when conducting reviews
- Handle performance problems and sensitive issues
effectively
- Develop your feedback skills to motivate staff between
appraisal meetings
We ask that attendees bring along copies of their
organisation's performance review documents

Kelly Maniatis, Senior Psychologist
Kelly Maniatis is a highly respected psychologist, trainer
and management coach with 10 years experience in the field. She has
worked as a consultant in Management Coaching and Organisational
Development, Organisational Training and Psychological Assessment,
as well as Career coaching. Kelly has extensive experience
consulting and training in both the private and public
sectors.
